Product Design and Development


Why this course?

The program "Product Design and Development" addresses the challenges faced by candidates from Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial and Production Engineering streams. Also candidates from Product Design background who want to enhance their career prospectus through exposure to hardcore Product Design projects would benefit from the program.


The program will train its candidates in three stages;
1.Information: Design Research and Need Finding
2.Innovation: Systematic Innovation using TRIZ, Ideation techniques and Concept Generation
3.Implementation: Ergonomics, Computer-Aided Design, GD&T, DFM, Materials and Manufacturing Process, Prototyping techniques and Rapid prototyping using 3D printing.


The entire training program is project-based, the candidates will work as a group to grasp the challenges and opportunities of working in Cross-Collaboration teams. The outcome of the program is a product portfolio that resonates the skills needed to secure a job in the industry as a Design Engineer, or to work on a start-up by becoming an Entrepreneur or to proceed for higher education in Product/ Industrial Design.

Eligibility: B.E/BTech Graduates
Selection Procedure: Online Application followed by Selection Interview at our Design Studio in Bangalore

Duration

Training Duration: 9 Months (Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day)
Batch Size: 12 Candidates.
